01 · Our commitments

Responsible business, built into our decisions

PQS Agro is an agro-based business involved in sourcing, processing, import, export, and distribution. We recognize that trust is earned through consistent conduct, reliable products, responsible relationships, and clear communication across the value chain.

ESG

Environmental responsibility

We seek practical opportunities to reduce avoidable waste, use resources efficiently, and improve the environmental performance of our operations as capabilities develop.

SOC

Social responsibility

We aim to treat people with dignity, support safe working practices, and encourage fair and respectful relationships with employees, suppliers, and business partners.

GOV

Ethical governance

We seek to operate lawfully and honestly, maintain appropriate records, protect confidential information, and address concerns through responsible management.

Our principle: We aim to improve our practices over time and to communicate accurately about what we do, what we can demonstrate, and where further work is needed.
02 · Ethical sourcing

Responsible relationships throughout the supply chain

We recognize that responsible sourcing starts with clear expectations and constructive engagement. We aim to work with suppliers who comply with applicable laws and can meet agreed product, safety, and customer requirements.

Supplier standards

Communicate product specifications, quality expectations, and relevant legal and customer requirements before or during engagement.

Labour and human rights

Expect lawful employment practices and reject forced labour, child labour, harassment, and discriminatory treatment in our own operations and supplier relationships.

Traceability and records

Maintain relevant purchasing, product, batch, and delivery records where applicable to support product identification and response to quality issues.

Fair business conduct

Promote honest negotiations, transparent specifications, timely communication, and responsible resolution of commercial disagreements.

Supplier expectation: We encourage suppliers and service providers to raise risks early, provide accurate information, and cooperate on corrective actions when a concern is identified.
03 · Product integrity

Quality, food safety, and buyer confidence

Product quality and safety are fundamental to responsible trade. Our controls and records should reflect the nature of each product, its handling and storage needs, destination-market rules, and agreed customer specifications.

01

Operational controls

  • Apply suitable hygiene, handling, and storage practices.
  • Use temperature control where required by the product.
  • Check incoming goods against relevant purchase and product specifications.
  • Record and escalate deviations, complaints, or potential safety concerns.
02

Documentation and compliance

  • Identify applicable product, import/export, and destination-market requirements.
  • Maintain relevant supporting records and product documentation.
  • Share current documents with buyers when appropriate and authorized.
  • Represent certifications and approvals only within their verified scope and validity.
Certification disclosure: Any certification, licence, audit, or regulatory approval should be verified against the issuing authority, legal entity, site, product category, scope, and validity period before being relied upon by a buyer. Please contact PQS Agro for relevant current documentation.
04 · People & human rights

Dignity, fairness, and safer work

We believe a responsible supply chain depends on the treatment of people. We aim to support a workplace and business culture in which concerns can be raised respectfully and addressed appropriately.

A

Equal opportunity

We aim to promote fair treatment and make work-related decisions without unlawful discrimination, harassment, or intimidation.

B

Health and safety

We encourage safe work practices, appropriate instruction, and prompt reporting of hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.

C

Worker voice

We encourage employees and relevant partners to raise concerns in good faith without fear of retaliation, subject to appropriate reporting procedures.

05 · Environmental stewardship

Practical progress, measured responsibly

We recognize that sourcing, processing, packaging, storage, and distribution may affect resource use and waste. We aim to identify realistic improvements and avoid making environmental claims that cannot be substantiated.

01

Waste and product loss

Encourage careful inventory management, good handling practices, and reduction of avoidable spoilage, damage, and packaging waste.

02

Energy and resources

Use electricity, water, fuel, and materials thoughtfully and consider efficiency improvements where practical and measurable.

03

Logistics and packaging

Plan purchasing, storage, packaging, and delivery to support product integrity and reduce avoidable operational inefficiencies.

Measurement approach: We will communicate quantified environmental targets or performance indicators only when the relevant baseline, method, reporting period, and supporting data are established.
06 · Governance & business integrity

Accountable conduct and reliable records

We aim to conduct business with integrity and in accordance with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, contractual commitments, and recognized expectations of responsible commercial conduct.

Anti-bribery and corruption

Do not offer, request, or accept improper payments, gifts, or benefits intended to influence a business decision improperly.

Conflicts of interest

Identify and appropriately disclose situations where personal interests may improperly influence business judgement.

Accurate books and records

Maintain business and transaction records that are accurate, appropriately authorized, and handled in line with applicable requirements.

Privacy and confidentiality

Protect personal, commercial, and customer information and share it only when authorized or legally required.

07 · Accountability & improvement

Listen, respond, and improve

Responsible business is an ongoing process. We aim to review concerns fairly, address issues proportionately, and use lessons learned to strengthen our systems and relationships.

Open communication
with our partners

Employees, suppliers, customers, and other business partners are encouraged to raise product-quality, workplace, ethical, environmental, or compliance concerns through appropriate company communication channels. Concerns should be handled respectfully, with due consideration for confidentiality and applicable law.

Corrective action

Where a concern is substantiated, we aim to identify practical corrective steps, assign appropriate responsibility, and review whether the issue has been addressed.

Transparent communication

We aim to provide buyers and partners with accurate, relevant information and to correct material inaccuracies when identified.

Scope and review: This statement describes PQS Agro’s intended approach to ESG and responsible business. It is not a third-party certification or a guarantee that every control is implemented across every supplier or location. The statement should be reviewed periodically and updated as policies, processes, evidence, and applicable requirements evolve.
